Lobophora is a reef aquarium nuisance that can spread if early signs are ignored.
Identification: Brown leafy or plating macroalgae that forms attached patches on rock and can shade nearby corals.
Treatment / Management: Peel and siphon patches manually, reduce available nutrients, and increase herbivory when compatible with livestock.
Prevention: Inspect incoming frags and rock, maintain nutrient balance, and remove small colonies early.
